At Darton Primary School, we have developed a carefully planned Enrichment Roadmap that ensures every child has access to a rich, progressive and memorable range of visits, experiences and opportunities throughout their time with us. Our roadmap is organised around the five enrichment areas: Civic Engagement, Arts & Culture, Nature, Outdoors & Adventure, Sport & Physical Activity, and Wider Life & Future Skills. These experiences are thoughtfully mapped across year groups to ensure breadth, balance and progression, building on prior experiences while introducing children to new interests, challenges and opportunities. From exploring the local community and engaging with the arts to developing teamwork, embracing the outdoors and learning essential life skills, our roadmap aims to broaden horizons, nurture aspirations and develop confident, curious and responsible young people. By ensuring that enrichment is an integral part of every child’s journey, we are committed to providing meaningful opportunities that develop cultural capital, promote inclusion and create lasting memories, helping every pupil to discover their strengths, explore new possibilities and thrive beyond the classroom.
Please note: Our Enrichment Roadmap is reviewed regularly to ensure that experiences remain relevant, meaningful and responsive to our pupils’ needs and interests. Visits and activities may be subject to change due to availability, circumstances or opportunities that arise throughout the year. We remain committed to providing a broad, balanced and enriching offer for every child.
